High School Career Seminars

Picture
Purpose: Students, there are a number of factors that will influence your career development, including your interests, values, abilities, personality and background.  We have career seminars each semester for high school students to attend.  The seminars are a process that will help you synthesize information in order to figure out your passions, interests and possible majors/career paths.
It is more than just deciding on a major you want to seek when you graduate from high school. Choosing a passion and career is a lifelong process, meaning that throughout your life you will change, situations will change and you will continually have to make career and life decisions.

Our goal is to help you make the decisions you need to make now, and to give you the knowledge and skills you need to make future life decisions.
The many experts who speak at our seminars will give you an insight of what it means to work in a particular field and how they got to where they are now.  After the seminars, the speakers will stay to answer your individual questions that may not have been answered in the seminar.
Several of our high school students have been able to gain a summer internship through the career seminars.
As always, please contact our HS Counseling Office if you need assistance as you make educational and life decisions.
