ISB Booster Club, the Activities Office and the Experiential Learning team warmly welcomed Jason Lezak, Kim Vandenberg and Aaron Peirsol to our school on Friday March 21st, 2014. All three athletes have won Olympic Medals in Swimming. The morning started off with a student led dialog with the Olympic Swimmers. Stefan Steiner, Nicole Ng, Alex Gong and Jerry Wu, did an amazing job leading the dialog, asking great questions which they articulated from a compilation of inquiries submitted beforehand from ISB students. After the dialog we had a photograph and autograph session with the Olympians. The event ended with the Olympic Swimmers demonstrating their skills in the pool and competing in fun relays with our students. Many thanks to everyone who was able to attend this amazing experiential learning opportunity. As all attendants learned, this event was not just about swimming or sports. It was about skills needed to be successful and the interesting stories of three outstanding people. It was about perseverance, hard work, dedication, leadership, overcoming obstacles, responsibility and dreaming big. Please feel free to download pictures below for your personal possession.
